Walter Foods (review) • 253 Grand • love hate relationship, late night eats can be loud but we ate in bathing suits, oysters, BEST burger, did I mention late night eats?

El Diablo Taco Truck (@ Union Pool) • 484 Union Ave • kickass tacos even when yer not drunk, try the specials and all they have to offer

Yola’s Cafe • 524 Metrpolitan • good cheap Mexican food, the kind you find in Queens

Pete’s Candy Store Sandwiches • 709 Lorimer • if there were a contest for who could eat the most of these, I’d win

D.O.C. • 83 North 7th • great date spot, cozy and dim, Italian bready-meaty stuff, well suited for wine drinking not big meals

Marlow + Sons • 81 Broadway • I think they have gotten their act back together. love them long time, seasonal/delicious

Vinegar Hill House • 72 Hudson Ave • quaint, total gem, excellent, colorful food, great service, order everything

Bar Tano • 457 3rd Ave • Gowanus! who would have thunk, stick to small plates, provini, bruschette, ensalada

Alchemy • 56 5th Ave • better than good pub fare, great service, thoughtful details, hearty!
